Boeing Pushes First 787 Delivery Back To 2011 | AVIATION WEEK

Boeing says first 787 deliveries to launch customer All Nippon Airways will now take place around February 2011, rather than by the end of this year as had been planned.

Confirmation of the delay, issued late in the evening (Pacific time) of Aug 26, comes in the wake of an uncontained failure of the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine during ground runs early in August at the company’s Derby facility in the U.K.
