Youngstown-Warren Airport contemplating name change – Tribune Chronicle

VIENNA – Northeast Ohio Regional Airport is favored by 36 percent of people responding to a survey about changing the name of the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport.Noting that 63 percent overall favored a name change, YNGAir Partners President Doug Kibby said Monday the results “speak for themselves. This area believes a name change will help put the airport in a better position to attract daily passenger and cargo service.”Airport Aviation Director Daniel Dickten said he’ll take the results on Wednesday to the Aviation Committee of the Western Reserve Port Authority, which runs the airport.He said he’ll submit the results to the full board at its monthly meeting Jan. 18.
