OPShots TOPSHOT – Elizabeth “Liz” Stapleton, GA Vagabond

When it comes to small-town Ohio airports, no place is safe when it comes to our Liz!  She has explored the back roads and byways to amass an impressive collection of small-town airfields and their denizens than anyone else I know!  With her unique documentarian eye, she brings these places to life and shows you that there’s more to an airport than just the airplanes.  Liz is an avid aviation aficionado, and actually preceded OPShots on the web with her own Cleveland spotting website, complete with an aircraft lighting guide seen here.

An open and friendly gal and a long-time member of OPShots, she is an instructor at Bryant and Stratton College.  If you should be lucky enough to run into her at your local airport, you will see her teaching skills shine as she is always eager to help you out with identification tips, or at the very least, entertain you with stories of spotting days past!

For your pursuit of aviation in small-town Ohio, and your unique take on these subjects, I salute you as the next OPShots TOPSHOT!

You can see all of Liz’s photos here.

About the author

Chuck Slusarczyk Jr.

I started OPShots in June 2006 as a place to share and display aviation photos without the often restrictive policies of other aviation websites. I want to share my love of aviation with fellow aviation geeks and provide a spotlight on Cleveland Hopkins International airport in the process.
