Area residents can hear details about Akron-Canton Airport’s work on a master plan during an open house on Thursday.

The project has been under development since 2012 with the goal of outlining planned growth for the next 20 years. It overlaps with the airport’s CAK 2018 plan, which began in 2008 and projected 10 improvements over 10 years.

Thursday’s meeting offers a chance for residents to see some of the possible improvements that could be coming for the terminal and the airfield. Information also will be available about current and projected noise levels at the airport, as well as the facility’s attempts toward sustainable environmental practices.
