What???!? What happened?

Incredibly sad news indeed. It's hard to believe. Cartman is one of the friendliest, most jovial people Ive ever met.

Ray, keep us posted as to what you find out. Today is a very sad day

I'm bummed out hearing this sad news. I remember when he show up at Zin and do the setup in his car to broadcast the ATC radio traffic from a speaker loud enough to hear it clearly in every corner of parking lot.

WHAT?  Oh no...how did you find this out?  I took special pics in Australia for him!  Oh, this is sad news indeed...I can't believe it.

Cartman was one of the funniest characters I'd ever met...we had a funny, but shaky start to our friendship, but came to be good buds over the years.  I'm really at a loss for words here...

Godspeed Cartman...I hope you are flying first class in that turbocharged Super-727 you always dreamed of.Cry

I can't stop thinking about this.  He used to call me "Chucker", and his enthusiasm was contagious.  I never heard the story about the radio...that is so Cartman, and thanks for sharing that.

He had a love for anything transportation, be it planes, trains, automobiles, and let's not forget buses.  He knew every kind of bus there is or was, and it was buses that I took pictures of for him in Australia.  And the Metro.

His flightsim adventures were always hilarious and conducted with full Cartman flair, with screenshots to prove them.

I'm still in a bit of shock about this.  RIP Aubrey...you will be missed.

This is awful news. I am sitting here crying. Aubrey was a great spotting buddy. I always knew it was going to be a good day when I pulled in to Zin and he was already there. Sometimes he showed up later than me, and the same thing - it was going to be a good day. We used to hem and haw whenever there were departures off 6L. One time the cops showed up and Aubrey was like, "Big black man in the parking lot, that's trouble!" They left us alone and we laughed about it afterward. He was such a nice man with a big, gentle heart. I'll miss him.  Cry

Oh my, this is sad news indeed. Godspeed my friend! One of the most colorful, passionate people I know. He loved anything that moved whether it was in the sky or on the ground. You will be missed!

Oh wow, what sad news.  Cartman had a huge heart.  He was a good guy.  It was sad when he moved away, but hearing of his passing away is terrible.  Way too early.  May he rest in piece, and like Chuck said, travel in the cockpit of a afterburner powered 727 with a few buses in tow.  We will miss his funny remarks and crazy stories!  Farewell my friend.

I was shocked as well when I read the news.  He was a great guy.  Had him out to the Jet Center for a tour before he moved away and he was just as funny in person as he was online.  He will be missed!

I remember the time Aubrey and I saw our first AN-124, his van(more like a tank) was stuck in snow and ice outside my apartment. #As we were trying to push his van out of the snow and ice, we heard a sound that we have never heard before, sure enough, it was a giant plane flying over my neighborhood. We also had other adventures, taking the bus and rapid all over the place.

He always made humor out of any situation.
