This sounds like great news, however prices seem expensive. You need to be a member to view our links.

UA's best fare is about $445 r/t; Ultimate wants $379.  Downtown door-to-door time on Ultimate is about 2 hours (BKL-LUK and NO extra hour for security); UA (via ORD) maybe 5 hours?

If you're a Cleveland lawyer going to the Appeals Court in Cincinnati, who are you going to pick?

The flights are very expensive. I predict this will not last a year.  The completion is not a connection but

driving.    4 hour drive vs  $400   and   who lives downtown Cleveland for departure

I am back and forth on the success of the route, but my optimism has got the best of me! For some, downtown is not as far, plus parking, lack of long security lines, and amenities offered by the airline will be quite lucrative. I think the Cleveland-Cincinnati markets are connected in many ways. Some companies with locations in both cities include: The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP, Carnegie Investment Counsel, Cleveland Construction, Inc, Baker & Hostetler LLP, and Fifth Third Bank, among many others.

The ease of travel, the lack of a layover, and the experience will get people to fly, it's just a matter of how many. The airline also offers deals to get businesses to fly more often.

Current specials include:

tk, I understand your skepticism, but Ultimate has made a single flight Cincinnati Lunken to Morristown NJ work !!!

Part of their secret is the Do328JET, I'd bet.  On the used market this orphan airliner (like DL's 717s) goes for about $3 million. So while operating costs are a bit higher than average, ownership costs are rock bottom; and they don't offer junk fares.  If I have DoT data figured out right, their L/F at LUK, is about 65% on one flight each to Morristown, Midway, and Charlotte.

According to the Enquirer, they claim that Cleveland was the most requested destination when they polled their Cincy customers.

Ultimate says the reason for delay in adding service at Burke is lack of aircraft.  I thought the market was glutted with used E135s; but maybe the difference for Ultimate is between available and available at the right price. Now they promise New York (via Morristown, NJ) and Chicago Midway sometime in 2017.  Their loads to LUK are around 50%, which is probably profitable for them.
