Thursday is the first post and it shows the T-Birds @ 14:44. Is this local time? Would this also mean they will arrive in KCLE on Weds?

Life's full of images, capture one today !

If anyone from Atlantic is reading this- Will there be any kind of meet and greet with the TBirds for kids or any way to see the aircraft up close?

That Saudi A340 would have been a nice addition to the static display, but it would probably have been too big and the Burke runway too short. Shame that Travis C-5 couldn't show up. Will there be geek alerts for the jets coming in(B-1, C-17, C-27, etc.)? IIRC, the T-birds practice out of County then go to Hopkins, but they've never flown over my house on short final to 23 nor have they come in on the 23s when they move to KCLE.

The A340 could have easily operated out of Burke as a display, but it was here for storm avoidance and not the show!  I don't know that the T-birds ever practiced out of County(?) but they will be flying out of Hopkins for the duration of the show.

As for geek alerts for each arrival, probably not, since it's an all day thing and most times we can't track them anyway!  As for the landings, it usually depends which way the wind is blowing, but I wouldn't be surprised if they've used the 24's before, although all the shots I can find show the 06's.  No matter what though...you can't go wrong with a bunch of strange aircraft flying around the area! 🙂

I thought I read something in the Plain Dealer the last time the Birds were in about Chuck Yarborough going up in the two-seater and there was something about them practicing out of County or Lost Nation before moving to Hopkins for the duration of the show. A B-1 one year flew over my house on short final to one of the 24s. Maybe this time I'll be ready with my Nikon...

That's funny, I think I remember that story!  Maybe they picked him up at County?  I'll have to look into it more, but as far as I know, once they stopped using BKL they came over to CLE and have been here since.  It's a shame too, because the ground show is just as impressive as the aerial one.

Just saw the CNAS FB Page listed the T-Birds arriving Thursday. So this means they arrive, then fly a practice, or orientation flight? Seems like alot of flying in one day for the team!

Have not heard of anything as of yet - should find out some more info tomorrow.  I don't think there was anything organized that took place at NASA last time the T-Birds were in town.  Seemed like folks showed up on the road by NASA's ramp and the T-Birds went out and talked to whoever was there.

As far as practicing out at County - don't think that is what took place.  Last time they were in town they practiced at BKL on Friday.  The folks out around CGF don't like regular aircraft movements - can't see the 'Birds practicing out there and there not being a huge outcry.  Lost Nation's air show this past summer had big restrictions put on it by the FAA - some due to the proximity of houses in the area so I don't see a practice taking place there either.

On the flip side all the non-T-Bird owned support equipment and smoke oil is in place at CLE.  Just waiting on the planes and the F-4's.
