Please be advised that Cleveland Hopkins International Airport has issued a construction-related runway closure notice for Runway 6R/24L. The closure is scheduled to last seven (7) days beginning Monday, February 14, 2011 at 6:00 AM (Please see attached diagram).
Runway closures and construction at an airport can have a significant impact on how it operates and where aircraft are directed. When one or more of the runways are closed, more operations will be pushed to the open runways, which inevitably changes where aircraft are flying in the sky. In the case of this particular runway closure, residents can expect more operations on Runway 10/28 and Runway 6L/24R.

Mmmm... spotter candy...
I always get excited when there might be Runway 10/28 ops. Maybe we will see some Rwy 28 departures (the real gem in my mind)? I just might have to come up to Cleveland early for work...

They are landing on runway 28 today...the sun is shining, what more can we ask? Maybe I'll leave early for work and try to get some shots in beforehand!
