October 7, 2010.  No, we haven't forgotten...we've been busy!  Sorry so long for the latest update, but I have good news!  We are 99% finished with the visual remake of the site, the results of which you will be seeing soon, but you can now begin using one of our new features immediately!  Our developer in the Netherlands has been busy working on some new scripting for us.

As of tonight, you can now use the "Autofill" feature when uploading photos to the site.  When you upload a photo, enter the registration and the airport in the two new boxes at the top of the upload page, and hit "enter."  If the airport and aircraft are already in the database, the pertinent information will automatically fill in.  All you need to do is upload the file, add the date, any comments you'd like and you can be done!

Of course, any aircraft not already in the database will have to be done the old way, but you may at least have the airport portion done already!  Of course, this function is brand new, and the information oftentimes quite complicated, so there are bound to be some glitches!  But I tried it out tonight myself and find that it works very well!

There is one glitch I discovered that I'm having Maik (our developer) work on as soon as possible, and it is this:  If you enter "cle" of "kcle" (no caps necessary!) in the Airport code box, it defaults to the old name of the airport, "Cleveland Municipal Airport."  This is because the airport codes to the old airport name and the new name are the same (CLE/KCLE).  I requested that he make it so that it defaults to the new name instead of the old one since this is the time frame most of us are working with.  For now, just enter it anyway, and when the screen comes up as "Data found", move one click to the correct name.  I hope he will have this fixed in a day or two.

Try it out and let us know what you think of it.  You can post any comments here:  You need to be a member to view our links.

We hope you enjoy this new feature and that it makes uploading your photos a whole lot easier!!

Stay tuned for more, and the big unveiling of the new look soon!

Thanks Everyone,

Chuck and Mark
