I caught this contrail on 6-28  It looks like a KC-135 or 747 .Interesting that a four engine jet aircraft would produce a long thin contrail right in the middle with smaller contrails off the wings..Seemed odd but kinda cool!

I'm not sure if this is feasible but could the two inboard engines have been operating on full power and the outer engines just idling? Sure some Geek who knows more about this will correct me if I am wrong.

Been meaning to reply to this...

 

Definitely a KC-135... and as for the contrails themselves, they look more like the ones produced when going through an ice layer than the ones made from the heat of the engines.  I plan on poking around here to see if I can answer that a little better:

What's wrong with that site? LOL?  It's quite comprehensive and detailed in its explanations...unless of course, you are a firm believer in chemtrails!
