Well, I've been trying to catch this flight forever, and today (11/29) I got my best shots yet. Still very distant and still kinda crappy, I caught Cubana 9181 as it passed west of Hopkins on its way back to Cuba from Toronto. It was nearing the Dreyer VOR (at Lorain County airport) and some ten miles distant. The path it takes on its way there and back always passes west of Cleveland crossing the shoreline at about Avon point. This location is 38 minutes from its departure in Toronto.
Just once, it will deviate to the east and I'll get it better!

I've got a two-fer suggestion for you, Chuck. Come to Mansfield one day when he's going over and I'll take you to the spot where I got it--he goes immediately overhead almost every time. The 2nd part is it's a big area on a lake in the middle of nowhere--plenty of birding shots to be had while we wait! I guess making it a three-fer (trifecta?) would be all the other great a/c you'll catch overhead as well. We get some stuff here that you don't normally get in Cleveland.
