I'm off today and was just getting ready to go to Home Depot when something told me to check Flight Aware before I did. I didn't just check the local lists, I went to the search by aircraft type page to see what might be unusual flying around today. I stopped to check on the AN124's, and lo and behold, there was one due overhead any second!! I grabbed my camera and ran upstairs to my deck and not twenty seconds later he came into view! I'm just giddy! 🙂 I'll post the shots later!

P.S. On another note...how about this weather? I thought it was supposed to keep raining all week, a natural consequence of my having days off, but this is beautiful!

There was a MASSIVELY fat contrail overhead this morning at 0745 heading NE. No chance to find out what it was as I was driving.

hmm... I may have found what it was. A yellow tail would normally indicate DHL. They DO have a hub at CVG so I checked departures from CVG that would have matched that time and found this:

Kalitta's tails are not entirely yellow, but they do have that large yellow stripe between the reds on the tail.

what do ya think?
