Hi All,

My name is Harry I just recently moved to Columbus from Tucson AZ where I lived for just over 3 years I am origianlly from Scotland but lived most of my life in Leeds just 2 miles from the local airport, I have been photographing and logging aircraft numbers for over 20 years, I have an SBS box which is very useful.

My largest airport is Port Columbus, but not had time to venture down there yet just managed a few trips along to the local airfield Ohio State University which is only 3 miles from my house.

So I am new looking to find any good spots for photography around CMH as I prefer landing or departing shots and looking forward to meeting some local photographers. Some picture are on flickr.

Hi Massey

Thanks for the welcome it sure is cold but I was used to that in the UK, I shoot with canon I have a EOS40D i use for most of my aviation photography and I use a EOS 1 mk3 rarely because its mainly for my wedding and portrait work, I shot the thunderbird pictures using a sigma 100-300 f4 with 1.4 converter on, I got a few shots I took the other day at OSU will post later once I have got my PC I use to process images up and running.

Cheers

Harry

Welcome! Best place to spot at Port Columbus (that I know of) is on level 5 of the parking garage in the short term area, as they've removed the old "observation area" due to the new 28L/10R. Hope to see you out there sometime!

Thanks, Harry.  Maybe Santa will bring me a telephoto lens - I've been pretty good.
