That's pretty cool Michi. I went to Indy all last week and had a clear view of, I believe, was the little dipper every night and wish I would've stopped to snap a picture. When you get down towards Dayton there on I-70, there isn't much to look at other than the stars.... oh, and the road.

You should have stopped, sometimes those kinds of pictures turned out really nice!  And it's a nice break if you are just staring at the road...

Yea, I'm kind of kicking myself in the butt, I won't see that run for a long time, I was covering for a guy on vacation. But, I do have a permanent run to Somerset, PA, so I will try and see what I can do. I don't think I have the equipment for that but it's worth a shot man, seeing the stars without any light pollution is amazing.

As long as you have a camera which can keep the shutter open for a few seconds, you should be good...  Give it a shot.
