CF-THQ (cn 277) Photographed at CLE in August 1964, this Viscount operated by Trans-Canada is being prepared for a short trip across Lake Erie to London, Ontario. Trans-Canada officially changed its name to Air Canada on 1/1/65. Note the NW airlines L-188 taxing behind the Viscount. I don't want to say this slide in my collection is old, but the photo was taken the last year the Cleveland Browns won an NFL Championship! |

NC3558 (cn 277) A story about my maternal Grandparents that for a long time was completely unknown to me! In a page from my Grandfather's scrapbook, a love triangle that ended up with my Grandpa's beloved Travel Air biplane burned, and his future with his bride-to-be called into question came to light. Obviously, it all worked out in the end! September 1940 |

NC3558 (cn 277) My Grandfather was quite the barnstormer back in the day with his Travel Air, and here he can be seen on the far right next to his wife-to-be (my grandmother) and other members of the local community. While wooing my grandmother (who grew up in North Royalton,) he often flew out of the local fields there. August 1940 |
