N99MF (cn 3004) Highly modified Pitts S2S. Sadly this would be Jims last successful performance. This was his first flight of the day. The second flight, flown later in the afternoon while performing Marys Lamb a trio of performers including Skip Stewart and the Shockwave Jet truck as well as Leroys plane. During the second performance Jim crashed while at the bottom of a roll/loop and was fatally injured. He died doing what he loved performing in front of his fans...rest in Peace! |

71-237 (cn 7225) The Phantom flew as part of the USAF Heritage Flight. The F-4 was so loud! Man it was a treat to see this bird perform!! It is from the 82nd Aerial Target Squadron at Tyndall AFB, FL. A lot of the old F-4s are being setup like this one, where they are remotely flown and students use them for target practice. This one was allowed to show its glory a few more times before being shot down. |
