A SCHOOLGIRL was barred from a Ryanair flight because she hadn’t bought an extra seat for her violin.
Francesca Rijks, 12 – a pupil at one of the UK’s top music schools – had planned to carry the instrument as hand luggage.
Her father, Harmen Rijks, 49, said he was told in advance by airline staff it was OK to take the violin on board.
