German carrier Deutsche Lufthansa AG won’t face strike action from its cabin crew until at least the end of October, the external negotiator for the labor union representing the cabin crew, Dirk Vogelsang, said Monday. The UFO union has asked its members to return to normal duty for the next six weeks, while negotiations with the airline continue under mediation.”At the end of October at the earliest the situation could escalate again and further strikes could be possible,” Mr. Vogelsang told Dow Jones Newswires. The comments were made after Lufthansa and UFO late Friday agreed on a mediation process over a dispute involving wage issues.
