SEATTLE, January 27 Airchive – In preparation for Super Bowl XLVIII in New York next week, many airlines have added extra flights, however, Alaska Airlines is doing something a bit different. It is planning a special tailgate party at 35,000 feet for 56 lucky people. The airline is offering a special sweepstakes for residents in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington through Sunday, January 26 to join it on its Super Bowl tailgating flight to Newark for the big game for free.
Fifty-six winners will be chosen to take part in this experience. Each will receive two round-trip tickets on the special flight to and from Newark, two night’s hotel accommodation in New York City, and an invitation to what Alaska Air says is “an exclusive game day party at a midtown Manhattan venue.” Unfortunately, game tickets are not part of the game package.
For the special February 1st flight, Alaska Airlines is rolling out a special paint job, to be dedicated to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.
