Unfortunately folks, my Fed Ex shipping crate i was staying in got hit by a wayward drunk driver in a Ford Expedition. Ive lost everything in that box......it served me so well.

But on to better news!!! Im two classes away from slinging baggage for ASIG at the ATL Airport. Can you guys imagine......a 6'3, 370 pound big black ass gorilla slinging luggage under the plane. Oh the hearts of children i shall scare lol. I have the driving class scheduled already for Monday. The security class will come after my finger print results come back. A new era of me has begun folks. After some letter sending and the proper permission, it shall be photograph time on lunch break...WOOT!!!!!

CARTMAN!!!  So good to hear from you...I've been wondering where you've been!  :headbang:  Now...what's this about a shipping crate??

Congratulations on your new job!  Glad to hear you are following your heart...it took me thirteen years after high school to finally get an airport job, and I've never looked back.  You're gonna love it!  You'll be in N960DL's territory...you guys will have to hook up!

As for that "6'3, 370 pound big black ass gorilla slinging luggage under the plane"  Don't be surprised if you are down to 270 by the end of summer!

Good to hear from you man...keep in touch!

Glad to hear you're finally getting into aviation!  Listen during training and take care of yourself out there - keep hydrated in the summer.  And Chuck's right - you'll definately loose some weight slinging bags!

Yeah, what's up with living in a shipping crate?  Seriously?  What are you driving these days?  A pimped up Hummer?

That's awesome that you got a job at the airport.  Hopefully things will look up from there.  Keep us updated!!!

lol...im not livin in a shipping crate. i jus figured id add that in for comic relief. And no im not drive'in a Hummer.....ill never get one of those things...unless its the original Hum Vee. Im still drivin that Gold Concorde. She's holding up pretty well now....cept needing a new battery. I jus have one more class to attend before i become an ASIG emplyee and thats a security class. jus waitin for the finger print results to come back. ill keep you guys updated on the goings on.

And Rich, i have very fond memories of that day. When i read your comment, i broke into laughter.

WELCOME!

I tried to renew my official permission this week and have been informed that the airport does not "give permission" the way they used to.  It seems people can still spot from the parking lots...  A friend was actually the one who was renewing and she talked to the airport people.
