By the way...how did you get that shot? I know there are a few in our gallery from up there, but the gentleman who took the shots has access...I would love to get up there and take a few myself!

It's good the view FROM the tower is handsome, because the tower itself is gruesome looking, like a Joseph Stalin Memorial.
(I say this based on E. Jones's excellent photo of the USA Jet on May 28th in the database.)
Thinking about how they could improve it ... plant ivy?

What are the plans for the old tower? It would be great if they could somehow open it up as a observation deck for people that have gone through security. Even if they charged admission...
Or how about a bar/restaurant?

Apparently the old tower would have to come down if the FIS (as presently goldplated, er, I mean envisioned) is built.
Meanwhile a coin-grabbing turnstile sounds like a good idea.

Actually, the proposed location of the new FIS is not where the soon-to-be old tower is located. Rather, it is situated between the southern end of the main terminal and the C concourse.
