Well, they are finally getting ready to remove that ugly, stinky, pathogen infested carpeting up and down the concourses and replacing them with tile! YAY! I've always wondered how healthy that carpeting has been for all the gate agents and vendors who work down there? They've already built some staging areas on the concourses where they will be storing the tile and other supplies for the project. I can't wait...it's going to make a huge difference in the way the airport looks, and it can only be better!

Also, they are building a Manchu Wok in the banjo next door to McAllister's. I don't know how soon it will be opening, but it will be nice to have another food choice on the C concourse!

Lastly...UA and CO are beginning to share gates and aircraft, with CO agents working Skywest CRJ's on C gates, and XJT Embraers in UA colors parking on the D concourse. Things are moving right along!

Saw a United Express Skywest CRJ-200 pull into the old NWA gate on the C concourse while waiting for AF One. First time I ever saw an RJ there instead of one the banjo gates.

Where are they starting the work? As I flew in on Saturday night, the new central food court was all blocked off. I believe that area already has terrazzo, so I wonder what they were doing there. I'll try to check it out when I'm at the airport again on Sunday.

The Central food court isn't really blocked off, it just looks like it is. Just inside C security they built a storage area, then kitty corner and on the opposite wall they built another, so if you are coming down the C concourse towards the exit it may appear as if it is blocked off, but you can zig-zag through it. I don't know exactly where they are going to be starting the project though. And you are correct, that section already has tile, although I think they are doing some repairs in that area.
