Hello Everyone, and welcome to the new OPShots!  Finally, all the hard work has paid off and we are debuting our fresh new face this evening!  This has been a long time coming, and it was made even longer because I made the mistake of opening my mouth too soon, and for that I apologize!

We really hope you like the new look, and we encourage you to give us your thoughts and comments, after all, this site is as much yours as it is mine.  You are the people who keep me in amazement with your wonderful photos, and keep me sane knowing that there are other "geeks" out there who are like me.  That is, folks who are interested in aviation and the hobby of spotting, and may find some of the other sites a little overbearing.  Here at OPShots, we encourage new photographers and enthusiasts to upload photos without fear of instant rejection or endless queues.  We encourage newcomers through helpful suggestions and tips on photography and editing.  We embrace the fact that your photo might be an interesting subject without being a work of art, yet love the photos that are.  Watching many of our contributors' skills improve over time is something that makes me proud, and many have gone on to be published elsewhere.

Of course, such a major change is bound to come with a few glitches, and in spite of extensive testing across various browsers, we're bound to discover something...let us know if you do!  In the meantime, take a look at the home page, read a few stories, and leave your comments below...Mark and I would love to hear from you!
