Any advice on typical operational flow at KORD? I'll be up there next week and the place is so massive, that the "typical" approach/departure directions will greatly influence my choice of hotel.

If the weather is good, for arrivals they prefer 28/27L and 27R for the overflow. Departures in this config would primarilly be 22L and 32L. If the winds are out of north/east, they will use 4R/10 and 9R for overflow, departures off of 4L, 9R, and possibly 32L. And if it is a southerly wind where they can't use either of the previous 2 configs, they will land 14R/22R with departures off of 22L, 28, 14L.

Any suggestions for hotels with good viewing or any good spotting locations? We're just going up for some down-time and I thought I'd try to sneak in a little spotting here and there. It's not a spotting trip, but definitely a trip that will afford some spotting opportunities.
