So I was taking my crew break on the way to Munich when I decided to take a peek outside, and it was the most amazing view of the stars.  Of course I only had my little Canon S90 with me, but I gave it a shot anyways.  ISO 800 and a 10 second exposure and thanks to the ride being as smooth as glass, you can actually see something.  You can also see the wing of the 767-400 illuminated red by the flashing beacons.

Wow, that's nice. Good work. Looks better than the wing of an Airbus. Or it's engine cowling.

Out of the sandbox, finally!

That turned out good. Smooth flight.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Way cool, Michi!  I just love to look at the sky when I'm flying, and I've always wanted to be able to do a night shot like that...great job!

I took about 20 shots, this one is the one that came out best, and it's still not perfect.  I guess 10 seconds are still pushing it handheld, on a moving airplane with a little point and shoot.

I exposed my Orion for ten seconds once while over the Atlantic, and only wound up with a black eye...
