N74855 (cn 46) My first of many slides to post, this CV-600 departs Burke on a gray September day. This aircraft originally served as a CV240 with American and Central Airlines, and after service with Wright Airlines was converted to a freighter and served with Kitty Hawk. Many thanks to my dad Carl for his assistance and use of his slide scanner.

I flew on one of the Wright Airlines Sunday excursions as well. 25 or 30 minutes around the city from BKL. I thought it was a 440 at the time I flew, guessing 1973-1974. I wish I had photos of that one!

Great pic! I flew one of those (or was it a 440?) on an excursion flight around Cleveland, probably around 1975.
