Nice shot George, I used to work those gates back in the day! I remember sprinting to the "hole" as we called it, to receipt and debrief crew. Our break room was located at the other end of concourse near US Customs!

Believe it or not, back in 1989 in the months leading up to the Piedmont/USAir merger, USAir was using a Piedmont gate on the B concourse for a DC-9 flight to BOS each day (and I think for an overnight parking space, too). This was back when USAir still had a pretty big presence in CLE, something like 45 flights a day or something. Why didn't I take any pictures??? duh :(

I was going to say that I dont ever remember USAir using the B concourse, but I see the A gates in the photo.

Man, I forgot how stubby those F28-1000's were. They were unique though. Tiny bellies (height-wise) and that dang APU exhaust near the aft belly. Nice shot of an airplane that is missed. I loved watching them land with those air brakes popping out under the tail.
