N761NC (cn 47709) This Northwest DC-9-51 taxiing out sporting an experimental new paint job. After Northwest started painting there fleet in the "bowling shoe" look with the red top they had problems with the red fading and the amount of time to mask and paint . They tryed this scheme and a white titled version but was voted down by the employees

Your right ,this aircraft has white Northwest titles on the other side but a big red N logo..N787NC has all red titles and big red logo on one side and all white titles and big white N logo on the other!!

Isn't this the one that was different on both sides? I have some shots of that one somewhere...guess I'll have to find them now!
