477635 (cn 44-77635) I was very surprised by the size of this aircraft-it seemed much larger than a DC-3/C47. I believe Chuck saw some of these still soldiering on in Alaska a few weeks ago.

Yes, it IS much larger, and contrary to popular belief, not related to the DC-3 family at all but it's easy to see why one may think so. I did catch one of Everts' C-46's on multiple occasions while in Alaska...I never thought I'd see one flying again!
