N679MG (cn 22557) Champion Air were regular visitors, especially when they had the NBA contract to fly the teams around, but when that contract went to Northwest Airlines, Champion lost their major source of income and soon folded, once and for all sealing the fate of any kind of regular service by passenger 727's at Hopkins. Pictured here rising off of runway 6C during the last period of usage before being converted to a taxiway.
