I do not know. I can see in the photo that it looks like the "ridge" extends aft, up the underside to about where the blue and white colors meet, just below the red stripe. Maybe with the straightness of the fuselage underside this is protection against damage from a tail strike?

nice! but what is that notch, or ridge, on the underside of the fuselage below the 5th window from the rear :?:
