Another beautiful photo of several of my favorite things; Herman, North Central, and the Convair 580! When I was big into flight simming, I flew this bird all the time! You have another photo of the same plane from 1986 in Republic colors, but I like these so much better!

There's not enough space to put the story here, but I owe my love of aviation, also known as "the bug", to a North Central CV-580 captain and it occurred the summer of '77 so for all I know that could be him in that photo!

Great shot of a great plane that brings back great memories. I remember seeing these parked at the end of the old West Concourse when I was a kid.
