N77510 (cn 32828) *(This is a view of an Emergency Response Drill, not an actual event.-ed) A view of the first scenario, which involved the crash of a United Airlines Boeing 737 aircraft inbound to Hopkins Airport on final approach to Runway 6R/24L. It was simulated that as the aircraft crossed the runway threshold, it crashed in the vicinity of airfield Pad 3. CLE Air Traffic Control notified Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting that an Alert III occurred at that location and made appropriate notifications.rnThe terrorism scenario involved the aircraft in the crash scenario crashing as a result of the flight crew being temporarily blinded by a laser strike from an unknown source just north of the airport. The FBI Evidence Response Team (ERT) responded and was deployed to the crash site. At this location evidence recovery responsibilities were conducted and a mortuary established in cooperation with the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.rnrn |
