Unknown (cn Unknown) Photographed on the NASA ramp on 9/4/79, I believe this Victor was in town to support RAF activities at the 1979 Cleveland Air Show. That year the RAF flew both the Nimrod and Vulcan at the air show. Photograph courtesy of NASA Glenn photo archives.

When we talk about the "good old days" of the Cleveland Air Show, this was for sure one of the better ones. These were the military attractions that year:
*Thunderbirds in their T-38's,
*Golden Knights,
*US Navy F-14 Tomcat Demo
*US Air Force F-15 Eagle Demo
*US Marine Corps AV-8A Harrier Demo
*US Air Force B-52 Stratofortress Flyby
*US Air Force SR-71 Blackbird Flyby
*Royal Air Force Nimrod Flyby
*Royal Air Force Vulcan Flyby
I miss those days! This was two years before I purchased my first 35mm camera, so I have no photo documentation of that show- hopefully others do, and will share them on Opshots!

If I recall correctly, there was also one at the 1978 airshow, and both shows also had Nimrods as well. I do believe there was a flying demonstration as well.
