My dad used to pack us up and go here to watch the United 747 (and eveything else at the time) take off or land back in the early 70's. Great memories. As a teenager, I rode my 10-speed up there to watch and snap pics. Thanks for the spotlight on this classic time. |

This is how I remember it as a kid too. My family spent many hours out here during the late 60's-early 70's, and probably helped cement my fascination with flying things. Thanks for this great trip down memory lane! |

Oh, maaannnn!!!! The memories! I tell people all the time how you used to be able to park right up against the fence, and this is the first I've seen it since then...thanks! :-D |
