| None (cn None) A look at the newly renovated departures level at Cleveland Hopkins Int'l Airport minutes before the ribbon cutting ceremony for the upgrades and rededication of the airport as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. Originally dedicated in 1979, for being " The first major municipal airport to provide an integrated engineered system of paved landing surfaces, floodlit runways, and a terminal complex consisting of both operational buildings and hangars. The airport is also the location of the first Air Traffic Control Tower including ground to air radio control, and the first to be connected to local or regional transit," airport and city officials decided to have the airport rededicated in 2016 in honor of the renovations. |
