F-BTSC (cn 203) (Best at 1152.) Taxiing out for the incredibly short hop to JFK, this Concorde diverted here to Newark due to fog earlier. Six years later, this aircraft would tragically crash on departure from Paris (CDG), killing all 109 onboard and 4 people on ground. |

F-BTSC (cn 203) Getting pushed off the gate at Newark after a weather diversion from JFK due to fog. Sadly, this is the Concorde which crashed outside of Paris some six years after this shot, signaling the beginning of the end for this supersonic classic. |

F-BTSC (cn 203) (View at 1152 size.) Parked on the B concourse at Newark back in July 1994, this Air France Concorde diverted here due to fog at JFK. My excitement at finding these shots was tempered when I realized that this is the very aircraft which crashed so tragically some six years later on departure from CDG on July 25, 2000. |
