	N69311 (cn 23362) It was a year ago tonight on 8/31/09 that this aircraft was withdrawn from use here at Cleveland. After a period of storage and preparation, this plane made its final journey to Victorville (VCV) on 10/26/09 for disposal.

	N69311 / N14308 (cn 23362) (Best at 1152 size.) Say goodbye to old ship 311, as it leaves tomorrow as flight 9970 for retirement in Victorville, California. Obtained during the New York Air acquisition in 1987, it has served Continental well during the last 22 years. Behind it, is ship 308 (N14308, cn 23359) another New York Air bird preparing for retirement. Both were withdrawn from use on August 31, 2009.

	N69311 (cn 23362) I believe this was the first time I saw four of CO's planes parked next to each other all in the new colors. Of the four planes in the shot, all the 737's are still with the fleet, and even though all DC-9's have long since been retired from the fleet, this one (N10556) in the photo left it earlier than anticipated when it landed wheels-up on runway 27 at Houston on a flight from Washington DC, and had to be scrapped. Note the red "meatballs" still affixed to the jetways. 1994
