N499TA (cn 3510) An overview of Miami International looking to the northwest as viewed from the Miami Hilton at Blue Lagoon. A TACA A320 rises off of runway 12 on a morning departure, while in the distance, five UPS 757's are turned around for their next flight. In the background, you see one of the highest points in Florida; the one mile square NW 58th St. landfill in Hialeah, and its associated buildings. An EPA Superfund clean-up site, it now hosts a park, hiking trails and more.

N499TA (cn 3510) The skies in Miami this day were filled with typical south-Florida cumulus clouds that obliterated the sun every few minutes, making for some tricky photos as the subjects transitioned through full sun to full shade in the space of two frames! Here, a TACA A320 is landing on runway 09 with the tower in the background.
