CF-IMK / 85597 (cn 85597) 602 was a former ex-RCN a/c, it was later converted to a water bomber for Conair Aviation ltd from 1969 to 1977. From my memory, there where 12 Avengers that day on the flight-line at Uplands Airport ( present day MacDonald -Carter Airport). IMK was in the process of pre-flight checks, short time later all 12 Avengers in flights of 4, took off with brief intervals of time between flights. It was a great sight and sound to watch them take off I wish I had better camera at the time. |

N683G / NL683G (cn 53768) Lt George Bush TBM-3E Avenger. The heaviest fighter that flew during this time period. Awesome aircraft indeed, and a new entry for us to boot! Love the sound of these blades. |

N124TB (cn 69323) An unusual visitor in the form of this TBM-3E Avenger back in the summer of 2005. I was excited to see this as it brought back memories of a ride I got in one of these at the Cleveland Airshow when I was a kid. |

N124TB (cn 69323) Quite an unusual visitor on this day in the form of this ex-US Navy Grumman Avenger in what appear to be firefighting markings. The wording by the cockpit reads "For Agricultural Purposes Only". It is still showing current on the US register out of Argyle Texas, and came for a brief visit to Air Services. I actually got a chance to fly on one of these as a kid at the Cleveland Air Show in the mid-seventies. July 30, 2005 |
