TI-AWY (cn 84.13.13) Not only was this the first (and still only) Let 410 I'd ever seen, I had just had the pleasure of riding it from Quepos here to San Jose! Yours truly is posing in front of it while all the bags are unloaded. While editing this twelve year old picture, I came to a startling realization...I still have those shoes! |

TI-AWY (cn 84.13.13) Another view of this nice Let 410, this time sitting on the ramp at La Managua in Quepos in the days before the runway was properly paved. I would soon board this plane for a flight back to San Jose...how it got off the ground here, I may never know! March 21, 1998 |

TI-AWY (cn 84.13.13) Parked on the ramp early in the day, this was my first sighting of a Let 410 ever. Little did I know that later this afternoon it would be my ride back from Quepos! Travelair was the precursor to Nature Air, probably the largest tourist airline in Costa Rica. Sadly, this aircraft would be broken up six years later, in 2004. March 21, 1998 |

TI-AWY (cn 84.13.13) Having arrived on a six-seater Cessna earlier in the day, I was really surprised to see our ride back to Pavas airport in San Jose would be on board this Let 410 Turbolet. This was the first Let 410 I'd ever seen, let alone rode in. Pictured rolling out on the as yet un-paved runway in Quepos during a rather dry season. This aircraft was reported broken up in San Jose in January 2004. March 21, 1998 |

TI-AWY (cn 84.13.13) A view of the port-side engine of this nifty little Czech aircraft while airborne en route from Quepos Costa Rica to Pavas in San Jose. This aircraft was operated by Travelair, who was the pre-cursor to Nature Air, and was a rather large aircraft to operate out of the tiny La Managua airstrip. This aircraft was reported broken up in San Jose in January 2004. March 21, 1998 |
