N108PX (cn 340A-012) Freshly painted at the time, this was one of Regions Air's three Saab 340's that it operated for a brief time on EAS services out of Cleveland.

N112PX (cn 340A-025) Regions Air operated a trio of Saab 340A's briefly on behalf of Continental Airlines operating to several EAS (Essential Air Service) cities out of Cleveland. This one never received the Continental livery like the other two, instead it operated in these basic Fina Air colors.

N148SD (cn 340A-148) (View at 1152.) For a while, Regions Air operated EAS (Essential Air Service) routes out of Cleveland using a very small fleet of Saab 340A's, but they ceased operations some six months after this photo.

N108PX (cn 340A-012) They sure looked good, but RegionsAir Saab's were plagued with maintenance issues ever since they were introduced on EAS services out of Cleveland, and may have contributed to the airlines' eventual demise shortly thereafter.

N108PX (cn 340A-012) Regions Air had a short lived EFS service out of Cleveland, but sadly, the service and the airline both folded after only a few months.

N108PX (cn 340A-012) (View at 1152 size.) One of a small fleet of Saab 340's operated out of Cleveland by Regions Air on Essential Air Service (EAS) routes under the colors of Continental Airlines. EAS routes are government subsidized routes to smaller communities that otherwise wouldn't see air service. Regions Air would be grounded by the FAA in 2007, and they folded shortly thereafter.

N112PX (cn 340A-025) These guys sure didn't last long after they came to Cleveland. The Saab 340 was a new type for Regions Air, and I don't think the older model A's they received ever performed the way they had hoped them to. This particular aircraft wears the colors of its previous operator, the defunct Fina Air of Puerto Rico. It never did get a new coat of paint before Regions Air themselves folded.

N112PX (cn 340A-025) Region's Air Saab service was a short-lived experiment for the company where they used several rather used Saab's on EAS (services) from Cleveland. After several months, their entire operation was shut down and all the aircraft were parked including this example still wearing the basic colors of its former operator, Fina Air.

N112PX (cn 340A-025) Still wearing the basic colors of previous operator Fina Air of Puerto Rico, this was the the first of the Regions Air Saab 340's to arrive in Cleveland for what turned out to be a very short tenure performing EAS services on behalf of Continental Airlines and the US Government.

N112PX (cn 340A-025) Another view of this Region's Air Saab as it sits awaiting its first assignment as a Continental Connection carrier while still wearing the basic colors of defunct Puerto Rican carrier Fina Air.

N112PX (cn 340A-025) Parked outside of Commutair's hangar at the northeast corner of the airport, this is one of a small handful of Saab's that were operated by Region's Air as a Continental Connection carrier to several cities in the US government's EAS (Essential Air Service) program. Still dressed in the basic colors of defunct Puerto Rican carrier Fina Air, this Saab never did get painted into CO colors before Region's Air folded operations.

N108PX (cn 340A-012) No longer in business, Regions Air operated a small fleet of Saab 340's out of Cleveland on Essential Air Service (EAS) contracts to several smaller airports lacking in regular scheduled airline services. Saab 340's in Continental colors were but a blip on the screen of Hopkins history.

N140CQ (cn 340A-140) Landing rwy 6L. Spotlight Edit: A very nice photo of the short-lived Regions Air experiment. This is one of three Saab 340 aircraft that Regions Air were operating on Essential Air Service contracts out of Cleveland. The Saabs were new to the all Jetstream-31 carrier and became Regions Airs undoing, and they ultimately went out of business soon after.
