It is amazing how many Island Trimotor postcards there are out there. This one reads:Island Airlines; Shortest Airline in the world. 3 miles East of Port Clinton, OH on US Rt 2. Frequent scheduled flights year round to the Lake Erie Islands. Flying 1928 Ford Tri-Motor planes, the line offers low fares and an excellent safety record. Thousands each year enjoy the scenic flight over the islands. | |||
