Unknown (cn Unknown) After I showed my Dad my postcard of the Wright E18S on Opshots, he remembered this picture he took at the 1967 Cleveland Air Show and Races. Dads been holding out on me! Working again with Mr Robert Parmerter, we have narrowed this aircraft down to two of four operated by Wright. This ship is either N402FW, or N403FW. With the stairs being down and blocking the full reg number, the only way we will know for sure is to find another picture of N403FW to compare paint schemes and other minor differences. (N402FW is the subject of my postcard) I was standing right next to Dad when he took this photo, so I got to see this plane in person, though at 7 years old, I do not remember it. Cool stuff! Note the racing pylon over the nose of the E18S.

N402FW (cn BA-136) This Wright Airlines Beech H-18 is pictured at Detroit City airport (I think) in an undated postcard from my collection. I have drawn a complete blank trying to find more info on this aircraft. Never knew Wright operated the type.

N74855 (cn 46) My first of many slides to post, this CV-600 departs Burke on a gray September day. This aircraft originally served as a CV240 with American and Central Airlines, and after service with Wright Airlines was converted to a freighter and served with Kitty Hawk. Many thanks to my dad Carl for his assistance and use of his slide scanner.

N94249 (cn 106) Photo taken by the late Joe Perez. He would have loved this site. He would have loved the internet, for that matter. Joe was a pilot and ROTC student at Kent when his life ended way too soon in January of 1988.

N74855 (cn 46) (Circa 1982.) N74855, a Convair 600 of Wright Airlines poses off the B concourse in a classic early 80's scene. Wright was operating into CLE during a time when the runways at Burke Lakefront were undergoing reconstruction, and liked CLE so much they began some services here.
