N27BB (cn 001) This aircraft was an experimental aircraft testing the concept of \\\"blown-wing technology\\\". It is powered by a single Pratt & Whitney JT-15D jet engine where the thrust was blown over the wings providing extra lift and maneuverability at very low speeds. However, this design proved to be too complicated and only this one aircraft was built. It is on display at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. |

N62477 / 39-25 (cn 2673) The Douglas B-18 first flew in 1935 and was based on the DC-2 airliner. It was considered obsolete at the start of World War II and was relegated to anti-submarine patrols. A B-18 was one of the first American aircraft to sink a German U-boat when one sank U-654 in the Caribbean in 1942. Today there are only 5 left. This one is on display at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. |

N309A (cn 001) Burt Rutan designed and built this concept aircraft to be a safe twin-engine light airplane for Adam Aircraft Industries. This design was incorporated into the Adam Aircraft A500 of which 7 were built before the company ceased operations in 2008. This airplane is on display at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. |
