| N405MR (cn 52391) Had a close encounter with the Hudson River on 30th June 2013. Landed in the Hudson river after an engine failure. There were no injuries to the pilot and 4 passengers. The inflatable pontoons on the aircraft kept the craft from sinking. It was retrieved intact for further examination. Local boaters rescued the occupants and took them to safety. | |||

| N410TD (cn 54306) Seen here nearing the end of their day are N407TD (cn 53764), N410TD (cn 54306), and N409TD (cn 53705). One week after this photo, N410TD was seized by Nassau-Long Island police, after the helicopter was landed in a grassy area full of pedestrians near the Nassau Coliseum minutes before midnight on Saturday night. The first landing attempt was aborted due to pedestrians walking in the area but on a second attempt, the pilot landed on a grassy area where at least 20 pedestrians were walking. No one was hurt when the helicopter landed, police said, and the pilot was arrested and his helicopter was seized following the 11:45 p.m. incident. | |||

The heliport is also the normal landing spot for POTUS on visits to New York. Michael Bloomberg, now mayor of New York, frequently used the heliport to fly between Bloomberg L.P. headquarters and Johns Hopkins University. The Downtown Manhattan Heliport is a public heliport operated by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) with charter service to New York-area airports.
