G-VIIS (cn 29323) I really enjoyed BA's "World Tails" schemes, unfortunately the Brits themselves weren't so keen on the differing tails and the project was eventually scrapped in favor of the new Union Jack scheme. Here we see Chelsea Rose under tow at Gatwick in 1999. July 5, 1999

G-BGJE (cn 22026) This has been one busy little bird since I photographed it in London in 1999 still in its World Tails scheme. Since then, it has gone on to fly with South African Airways, Safair (Africa) and can now be found flying in South America as HC-CFL for Ecuadorian airline ICARO. July 5, 1999

G-AWZX (cn 2324) Used for over twenty years as an airport fire trainer, this Trident was finally put to sleep for good in 2004. It served with BEA, and then British (Airways) before retirement in the early 80s. Note the airport employees catching some rays and doing a little spotting of their own. July 5, 1999
