| 166793 (cn F166) That is "Flag Dave" and Lt. Matt Gottschalk next to the VFA-32 color bird. Flag Dave is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and is what he does for military personnel is simply inspiring. Before the 188th FW at FSM got rid of their A-10's, Dave would be out there every day waving that American Flag as A-10's taxied by either leaving or coming back to base. He's also out there when the airport gets transient military aircraft and buys each of the pilots lunch and gives them a small American Flag. Pilots simply come through FSM just to see him even though it may be out of their way and even call ahead requesting him to be there. Squadrons also make a special trip there to see him before going out on deployment. He is a true testament to how everyone should appreciate each and every service member and it was an honor to meet him. | |||
