C-FNRC (cn 473) This Convair CV-580 is operated by the National Research Council Canada. I caught Research-zero-nine (RSRCH09) on the ramp at Atlantic Aviation before it departed for KBAK - Columbus Municipal Airport (KBAK) this afternoon. This aircraft was built in 1957 as a CV-440-3, converted to a CV-580 in 1965, and acquired by the Canadian government in 1973 as part of the airborne research laboratory fleet.
