N784AL (cn 46135) Sadly, after forty years in the sky, this DC-8 would be parted out before the end of the year here in its last home of Miami. Along with Arrow Air itself, 2009 spelled the end of an era.

N141WE (cn 46661) Japan Airlines and Northwest Orient were the only two airlines to order the long range DC-10-40 variant which was powered by Pratt & Whitney JT9D-20 engines. A larger tail intake is the easiest way to tell this rare bird from the others in the family. This one is former JAL, and I believe it has since been retired.
